Aromas of toffee and wild mountain blackberries fill the glass, while the rich mid-palate of boysenberry coulis parlays into a long, silky finish.
This signature Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon comes from our estate Veeder Hills Vineyard. The elevation of this vineyard ranges from 600-1,120 feet, and its steep slopes and sedimentary clay and shale soils restrict root growth, resulting in Mount Veeder’s hallmark small berries with intense fruit flavors. True to its appellation, this wine possesses dark concentrated fruit flavors and robust tannins.

Blend: 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec and 8% Merlot

Sturdy, intense, extracted and complex, with dense earthy currant, sage, cedar and mint flavors. Mount Veeder reds can be rugged, and even with an added year in bottle this is open-throttle. Very nicely done in a classic Mount Veeder style. Begs for more time.

This has the foresty, woodland cherry flavors of Mt. Veeder cabernet, a crisp and vibrant red. It’s spicy rather than powerfully tannic, the fruit developing toward cranberry and persimmon, plump rather than long. An accessible mountain wine to serve with lamb kebabs with Middle Eastern spices. Best Buy.
