Description
Wine Advocate #81 Jun 1992 Robert M. Parker, Jr. Rated 87-91 Both of Groth’s regular cuvees of Cabernet Sauvignon offer the classic Groth style – sweet, almost intensely opulent fruit flavors, silky tannins, and hedonistic mouthfuls of ripe, herb, coffee, and cassis-flavored Cabernet fruit. The slightly less concentrated 1991 offers copious quantities of fruit in an up-front, precocious style. While it will probably not make old bones, it should provide gorgeous drinking in its first 7-8 years of life. One can only imagine how impressive Groth’s 1990 and 1991 Reserves will be in light of how tasty these regular cuvees have turned out.
