Wine Advocate #107 Oct 1996 Robert Parker 87 Drink: Now The 1983 Quinta do Seixo vintage port is very good, but one would expect a lot more stuffing and intensity given the 1983 vintage in Portugal. This fully mature port should be drunk over the next 5-10 years. The Ferreira offerings reviewed in this segment are an uninspiring group of ports. Importer: Broadbent Selections, San Francisco, CA; This is one of the best Ferreira vintage Ports ever. It was made entirely from a single property, Quinta do Seixo. It is much drier than most Ferreira vintages, with more punch and stuffing than the ’82. Deep ruby-purple, showing a perfumed, ripe raspberry nose, full-bodied, with lovely raspberry flavors, full tannins and a medium finish. Best now.
