eRobertParker.com #222 Dec 2015 Robert M. Parker, Jr. Rated 96 Drink: 2016 – 2041 A blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Juliet has a similar style but seems even more opaque purple, with loads of blueberry and blackberry fruit, some white flowers, licorice, baking spices and a touch of asphalt. It has a long, full-bodied, massively rich mouthfeel and finish, without any heaviness. It?s a beauty to drink over the next quarter century as well. This winery has been making terrific wines for a number of years, and the current lineup, put together by winemaker Kirk Venge, is just amazing. The10-acre estate vineyard sits at a relatively high 1,650-foot elevation on Soda Canyon Road. These are all dry-farmed vineyards planted in predominantly volcanic soils.
