This is a retaste. This parcel of Ravera in Novello has eastern
exposures and rests on a flatter area at 430 meters above sea
level. The site is open to the mountains, embracing air currents and
luminosity. The Scavino family has three parcels in this MGA,
measuring 2.8 hectares in total. The 2020 Barolo Ravera appears
tight, nervous and complex. It shows ashy mineral tones, ferrous
notes, underbrush, green herb and dark fruit. The mouthfeel is
quite narrow and nervous at this young stage. I would suggest
more bottle age.
