This red wrestles you down with its intense leathery and earthy aromas, which are followed up by powerful smoky and dark cherry flavors. Notes of blood and iron, with plenty of tannins, on the finish. Might settle down with some time in the cellar. Best from 2004 through 2007. 1,500 cases imported. Published on August 31, 2003
